Dr. Gürkan Kavuran received his B.Sc and M.Sc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fırat University in 2008 and 2011, respectively. Also, in 2017, he received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from İnönü University. Between 2009 and 2010, he worked in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Bozok University, Yozgat, Turkey as a Research Assistant. He also worked at Fırat University, Faculty of Technology, Department of Mechatronics Engineering between 2010 and 2020. Since 2020, he has been with the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Malatya Turgut Özal University, Malatya, Turkey, where he is currently an Asst. Prof. He is the director of Smart Systems and Defense Technologies Laboratory (SSDT) and Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dr. Gürkan Kavuran has participated in numerous national and international projects as a scholar, researcher, and executive, including The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). His research interests pertain to artificial intelligence, robotics, fractional calculus, control theory and applications, modeling and simulation, signal processing, and embedded systems. He has published many research papers in national and international refereed journals on these fields. Dr. Gürkan Kavuran is a member of the IEEE Control Systems Society.
